How to Disable Web Push Notification on Firefox

I’m tired of those sites keep asking “Never miss updates” kind of web push notification on the browser. These days almost whatever the site I visit, they keep showing such alreats on the browser. I’m fed up seeing those and tired of clicking “NO” to such notification request. Even our Adblock extension cannot help in blocking such alerts. I was eagerly waiting for some good solution to avoid those web push notification completely.

If you are one of them like me and use firefox browser, then you have good news now. With the latest version of Firefox 59.0 release, now you can block (or) disable web push notification completely without any Add-ons.

Times of India annoying Web Push Notification was asking User Location and Subscribe to updates.

How to Disable Web Push Notification Alerts in Firefox Browser:

1) Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox Browser (Firefox 59.0 and above)

2) To disable Web Push Notification on Firefox browser, go to Menu >> Options

3) Here choose “Privacy & Security” option. There have a look for “Notifications” and click on “Settings…” button

4) In this window Check “Block new requests asking to allow notifications” and click “Save Changes” button.

That’s it. From now onwards you don’t find any of those annoying web push notification again on your Firefox browser. Keep in mind, by enabling this option you are not only going block subscribe kind of alerts, but also any sites which requests your locations will also get blocked.
