After almost 1.6 years, I pulled the plug to get my daughter’s Aadhar card. I keep postponing for almost 1.6 years…
Now time has come. I need an Aadhar card to apply for something, so I took it seriously and went to apply for an Aadhar card for my daughter.
If you are also looking for a way to apply for an Aadhar card for your child below 5 years, then you are in the right spot.
To apply for your child’s Aadhar card, you need the following documents:
1) Child’s Original Birth Certificate with Name on it
2) Child physical presence for taking Photo
3) Dad or Mom original Aadhar card
4) Dad or Mom’s physical presence for giving a Fingerprint
5) ₹115 Fees
Initially, I was unaware where they would enrol children Aadhar cards.
I need to add my daughter’s name to the birth certificate. So, I went to a nearby BBMP office to add my daughter’s name to the birth certificate.
In the same place, they advertised Aadhar card enrollment for children below 5 years old.
I called the given contact number, and they guided us to come to another BBMP office near where I went.
I went to that BBMP office with all the required documents and took my daughter for enrollment.
They asked…
1) Child’s original birth certificate with name on it
2) Dad’s original Aadhar card
3) Dad fingerprint
They took document photos, the dad’s fingerprint, and the child’s photo (Live photo, not passport size photo).
After all this work, they gave me the Aadhar card enrollment number. They told me to keep the enrollment number safe until we get the child Aadhar card.

They said it will come to the given address in 20 to 40 days.
For doing all these, they collected ₹115 fees from us.
It took 20 minutes to do all these tasks.
This is the step I did in Bangalore. The process will be the same in all other places, but you need to find where they are doing Aadhar enrollment in your area.
If you know the Aadhar enrollment area, take the documents mentioned above to get it done.
